The decision of who goes to Toronto is not an easy one for the Canadiens – The Athletic

The NHL sent the protocol for life in the bubble of the two capitals for the play-in round and the subsequent playoffs on Sunday evening.

Each of the 24 teams participating in the play-in is limited to 52 people who travel to the hub. This number is very easy to achieve considering how a team normally works on the street. It is made even more complicated by the mandatory roles that NHL and NHLPA have established that each team has to fill out its protocol in order to take someone a place a team might want to bring. For example, some teams question the need for a security officer for each team, especially since the presence of that person may prevent a front office member from joining the group, or even an additional player or other person who normally travels and has one important Roll on the street.
