President of Bolivian Football Federation dies from Covid-19 – Foreign

The president of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBL), César Salinas, died of Covid-19, the deputy interior minister announced on Sunday. “With deep sorrow and pain, I can confirm that Mr. Salinas is no longer with us,” confirmed the president of the Wilstermann club in Cochabamba, Grover Vargas. Salinas, who was 58 years old, had been hospitalized since July 9 in a clinic in the Bolivian capital, La Paz, where he had received a plasma donation from the goalkeeper of the Bolivian selection, Carlos Emilio Lampe, who had him cured of Covid-19. Bolivia, 11 million inhabitants, has to date recorded 58,136 cases of Covid-19, for 2,106 deaths.
