FC Zurich player tested positive at Covid-19 – Fil Info – Foreign

FC Zurich defender Mirlind Kreyziu and several other members of the club tested positive for Covid-19 and the whole team, its staff and employees in contact with it were isolated at home until 17 July, according to a statement released on Saturday. The club did not specify the identity or the number of people affected, nor their functions, merely indicating that it was in contact with the federal and cantonal health authorities and was taking the necessary measures. Kreyziu, who had mild symptoms and tested positive on Friday, no longer participated in training. Two matches that FC Zurich had to play this Saturday against Sion, then Tuesday in Basel have been postponed. The question of the home game against the Young Boys Bern, scheduled for July 18, remains open. The club is in contact with the Swiss Super League to study the situation, while the deadline for communicating to UEFA the clubs qualified for European competitions is set for August 3.
