A victory by Remco Evenepoel is gradually becoming common, so we may have to get used to his new victory gesture from now on.
Perhaps inspired by Jay Z’s hit “Dirt off your shoulder” Evenepoel wipes a few imaginary fabrics off his shoulder. “That is the victory gesture I was working on,” he says to journalists from, among others, Het Laatste Nieuws and Het Nieuwsblad.
“It’s something of my own. Not meant to be selfish. But I don’t think many riders have already done this. This is now the Remco movement.”
