Arsenal receives a transfer boost in an attempt to land the coveted young striker

Arsenal received a boost in their offer to land Victor Osimhen this summer after his agent raised concerns about racism problems in Italy.

The young Nigerian is one of the most requested strikers in Europe at the moment after his good season in France with Lille.

He only joined the French team last summer, yet he shone so intensely for them in Ligue 1 and the Champions League that several teams are trying to make him land.

He is a player that Arsenal is considering (The Mail) while planning their lives in case they are unable to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners face competition from other teams such as Tottenham and Napoli (The Standard). However, to increase Arsenal’s chances of landing him in front of Napoli, his agent raised concerns about the constant racist abuse that black players suffer in Italy.

Osita Okolo said as quoted by Star Sports: “The issue of racism. In Italy there is a big problem from my point of view, unfortunately it is a widespread phenomenon.

“In any case, the last word on his future will lie with Victor and no one else.”
