Roy Keane Not Sure Man United Can Stop Liverpool Domination Next Season Page all

KOMPAS.com – Roy Keane says Manchester United will have difficulty stopping the dominance of Liverpool and Manchester City next season.

The former Man United captain revealed his former team was still far behind from Liverpool and Manchester City.

Roy Keane uses the number of points on the Premier League board this season as proof of argument.

Roy Keane said the points posted in the standings showed the ability of each team. That’s why he considers Man United to lag far behind the two teams.

Liverpool topped the standings with 86 points, 23 points ahead of Man City who occupy second place.

The Reds, the nickname of Liverpool, have even locked the English League championship in 2019-2020.

The Manchester United sit in sixth position while with a collection of 49 points.

“The league standings never lie. Look at their total points,” Roy Keane told Mirror.

“I know people say that Man United have won once or twice against Liverpool and Man City. However, this is all about the number of points,” he continued.

“So, I don’t think Man United can compete next season or even for two more years,” Roy Keane said.

For Roy Keane, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes, Odion Ighalo, and the return of Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba from injury were not enough to get Man United back on track.

He insisted Manchester United needed to buy a few more players to strengthen their back line.

“I think there needs to be an increase so they can reduce the gap. There is work to be done by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Man United coach) and the players,” he said.

“They are missing something. Man United is not consistent enough,” said the former Irish player.

“With a few players who are fit again, Man United will definitely try to finish in the top four. However, to achieve that requires a great effort.”

“They need one or two more players. I think Man United lack the strength in the back line,” Roy Keane said ending.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have confirmed a place in the FA Cup semifinals after beating Norwich.

Man United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, also hopes his team can qualify for the finals so that it can foster a winning mentality in his squad.

The Man United are preparing to visit the headquarters of Brighton & Hove Albion in the 32nd week of the English League.
