Jorge Sampaoli arrived only a few months ago at Atlético Mineiro and is already being linked to a large club in Europe, since Portugal could become the new country of residence of the casildense.
According to the Portuguese media Record, the first option for the Eagles is Mauricio Pochettino. However, if an agreement with him is not reached, Plan B would be a short list consisting of: Rafael Benítez, Unai Emery and the former coach of the Chilean National Team.
The Argentine coach is part of a plan B if Pochettino does not arrive.
Given this situation, the Globo newspaper in Brazil published that in Belo Horizonte they are already aware of the situation and that they hope that any link between Sampaoli and the Portuguese team will amount to nothing, since they consider the Argentine as a “Cornerstone in planning the future of the institution.”
