The giants hired Farhan Zaidi and hoped that one day he would become their leader. Most of the time, however, they had to modernize the way they rate, acquire and develop talent. It was up to Zaidi to do this massive job first. The leadership part would come later and with organic means.
But even less than a month after Zaidi’s hiring, a previously undisputed group of Giants owners got scandalized. Charles Johnson, who was barely known to fans, was now getting worse for donations he and his wife made to Mississippi’s Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith’s campaign.
