Barcelona youth Marc Jurado confirms the release before Manchester United’s move

Barcelona teenager Marc Jurado has confirmed that he is about to leave the club, with Manchester United expected to sign it.

The sixteen year old went to social media to say goodbye to the Catalans, with whom he refused a new contract since MEN Sport understands that he should instead enter the United States Academy.

United will only have to pay a small compensation fee for the right back, which is much appreciated by many of the generation born in 2004 in Barcelona.

Jurado joins former Sunderland striker Joe Hugill, 16, to move to the United States Academy this summer.

On Instagram, he said: “It is never easy to leave a team that has given you everything. FC Barcelona was my second home, my second family, where I developed as a player and as a person.

“Today is the time to say goodbye, but not before expressing my gratitude to each of the people who have helped me since I started pre-benjamin [junior team] in the year 2011.

“I was lucky to share my passion with a fantastic generation, with whom I will always be connected.

“We started out as kids who just wanted to run after a ball and I say goodbye, nine years later, by calling them friends.

“Only we know the immense luck that we have had with all the coaches who have developed us and helped us continue to make our dreams come true.

“Each phase has a beginning and an end. Mine, after reflecting a lot with my family, has arrived. I leave behind unforgettable memories that will always remain with me. “

United will also be releasing a number of local players this summer, according to their released and maintained list. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Demetri Mitchell, Ethan Hamilton, Dion McGhee, George Tanner, Aidan Barlow, Kieran O’Hara, Alex Fojticek and Largie Ramazani will be left to expire on their contracts on June 30 (today).
