ASWH surprises and announces the arrival of Drost (33)

Henrico Drost will play amateur football next season. Second divisionist ASWH has secured his arrival.

Drost (33) has a rich past as an Eredivisie player. He played for sc Heerenveen, Excelsior, VVV-Venlo, NAC Breda and RKC Waalwijk. Last season, he played only three times for RKC. Due to a serious injury, he missed most of the season. His expiring contract was not renewed.

ASWH was still looking for an experienced defender and found it with Drost. “Of course, the TC (technical committee, ed.) Is very pleased that a player with such a stature has chosen ASWH, whereby his leadership qualities and experience naturally add value,” the club writes.

It seemed that Drost would quit football. He focused on a career as an agent. “With my training in sports management, I aspire to a job as a football broker. I have been walking with someone for a while to gain experience, but there is a chance that I will start for myself,” he told Brabants Dagblad in early May.
