Aleksandar Mitrovic struck for “disgusting” act when Leeds defeated Fulham

Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic was lucky enough to escape a red card overnight after a shocking elbow against Leeds defender Ben White.

The bad incident happened just 90 seconds after the championship’s encounter in England, The Sun reports.

The ball had been cleared by White on the field when Mitrovic pushed his elbow unnecessarily into the Leeds star’s face.

But referee Tony Harrington and his officials completely missed the incident, and Mitrovic got away with it.

The 25-year-old went over to check on White when he was down on the grass of Elland Road. While escaping the sanction at the moment, he will consider a ban if the officials go through the tape again.

A Sky Sports commentator called it an “unnecessary elbow,” and social media was equally enthusiastic about Mitrovic’s foul play.

Leeds would ultimately win 3-0 and take a big step towards promotion to the Premier League with Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison all scoring a goal.

Bamford’s 14th league this season got Marcelo Bielsa’s men on the go before Macedonian wingers Alioski and Harrison scored a decisive victory.
