Adebayo Akinfenwa likes to pay money for wearing Liverpool gear for training

There are all sorts of famous and semi-famous Liverpool fans around the world. Samuel L Jackson is known for his Liverpooooooooool tweets when the Reds win a game. From the NBA, coach Steve Kerr and star player and partner Lebron James reported their admiration for the squad. Of course, we wouldn’t be sure if we didn’t mention my much better looking and wealthy lookalike, including actor Damian Lewis.

Perhaps my favorite super fan in Liverpool is Wycombe Wanderers striker and self-proclaimed beast mode Adebayo Akinfenwa. The tall man with a larger personality was fearless in his love for Liverpool. He famously promised to beat one of his teammates at AFC Wimbledon when they tried to swap shirts with Steven Gerrard when Liverpool played against his team in a 2015 cup game.

No wonder the 38-year-old striker was satisfied when Liverpool took the title. In fact, he was so proud that he was happy to pay the fine of wearing a Liverpool jersey for training and not for the team’s training equipment. He posted a video on Instagram in which he wore the kit before training. Many of his teammates shook their heads in anger and tried to laugh.

We hope Liverpool will sign Akinfenwa for a day so that he can retire as a Liverpool player.
