In addition to the 101-time national player, captain of the red-white-red selection, there are 14 Bundesliga professionals in team boss Ralf Rangnick’s squad. Leipzig midfielders Christoph Baumgartner, Xaver Schlager and Nicolas Seiwald have also been called up to the squad, along with Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer, Borussia Dortmund’s Marcel Sabitzer and Cologne duo Florian Kainz and Dejan Ljubicic.

Record international Marko Arnautovic (Inter Milan) and Freiburg’s Michael Gregoritsch were nominated for the storm. On September 7th Austria will play a friendly against Moldova in Linz, on September 12th an away game in Sweden as part of the European Championship qualifiers awaits the ÖFB team.
