The Upper Austrian state judo championships for the U12, U14 and U16 age groups took place in Gallneukirchen. A total of 235 judoka from 20 clubs took to the mat in the Gallneukirchen sports hall. In the middle of the strong field of participants, ASKÖ Luftenberg was also represented with eleven young fighters.
The Luftenberger young judoka showed committed and strong fighting performances and were able to secure three medals despite the great competition.
Klara Seyrl (U12, -40 kg) and Sarah Hanneder (U14, -48 kg) were each able to celebrate an excellent second place. Sebastian Winkler (U14, -55 kg) completed the medal success with third place.
Even though it wasn’t enough for a national championship title this time, the young judoka gained important competition experience. This will certainly benefit you in the coming tournaments.
