Levante-Villarreal Postponed: Valencia Red Alert

Levante-Villarreal, corresponding to the sixteenth day of LaLiga EA Sports and which was to be held this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the Ciutat de València, has been postponed due to the red alert decreed in Valencia from 12:00 p.m.

La RFEF has communicated the decision taken this Sunday by the Sole Judge of Professional Competitions of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) due to the red alert due to the risk of heavy rains and strong storms in Valencia issued by the Emergency Center of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The mayor of València, María José Catalá, requested on Saturday afternoon the suspension of the match due to the risk of heavy rain and Levante itself has also requested it from the RFEF this Sunday.

In its letter, the RFEF explains that it grants “both clubs and the National Professional Football League are given a period of five business days to, in a coordinated manner, propose a new date and time for the celebration of the suspended match.”
