Sports Officials & Fan Disappointment: A Breakdown

Lionel Messi take a tour at India and stopped in several cities. A scene emerged, narcissistic officials vs disappointed fans.

Lionel Messi visits India this weekend in ‘GOAT [Greatest Of All Time] Tour. The series starts from Kolkata on the morning of December 13, continuing to Hyderabad in the evening.

December 14, Messi, who was also with Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez, continued to Mumbai. Closed in New Delhi on Monday (15/12).

The tour opened with a bang in Kolkata. The fans who packed the Salt Lake Stadium were in chaos!

Entrance ticket prices to the stadium range from as little as 4,500 to 20 thousand Rupees. That’s equivalent to IDR 826 thousand to IDR 3.6 million. What power? Lionel Messi only 20 minutes in the field.

The reason was that the situation was chaotic because many officials entered the field and surrounded Messi. The disappointed fans started screaming in the stands.

The committee was overwhelmed, Messi was then pulled out of the stadium. After Messi withdrew, the fans threw stadium chairs onto the field and entered the field!

“The inquiry committee will conduct a detailed investigation into the incident, assign responsibility and recommend steps to prevent something similar from happening again,” Chief Minister of the State of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee said on her personal social media X.

The fans were really disappointed because they had paid so much for tickets. Some of them are even willing to save, borrow money, and even cancel weddings. In order to see Messi, it was actually covered up by officials plus police and soldiers who also stole the moment!

“Only officials can see Messi, so why do we have to pay for tickets? I paid 12 thousand Rupees but didn’t see Messi’s face,” said one fan to local media, YEARS.

“I paid 5 thousand Rupees and wanted to watch Messi with my child. Instead of watching the officials took selfies with Messi,” said another fan to Press Trust.

In Hyderabad, luckily things are going smoothly. Lionel Messi no longer surrounded by officials, although there are some who steal the opportunity.

Messi circled the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, then distributed the ball to the fans in the stands. Messi also joined in juggling the ball and greeted several young footballers.

The committee reportedly tightened security. Officials were also asked to be more self-aware, not to take advantage of their position to meet La Pulga.
