U-15 Champions: Zorawar & Mehvish Win Titles

The Vardhman Special Steels Limited Punjab State Sub-Junior Badminton Championship has crowned its champions, with Zorawar Singh from Jalandhar taking the top spot in the boys’ Under 15 singles, and Mehvish kaur of Gurdaspur emerging victorious in the girls’ Under 15 category.

In the fiercely contested boys’ U-15 singles, Shaurya Kumar khanna, also from Jalandhar, secured the runner-up position. The third spot was a tie, shared by Abhimanyu Singh of Patiala and Vihaan Kapoor of Mohali. On the girls’ side, Anayat Gulati of Jalandhar claimed the second position, while Sonakshi of amritsar and Japleen Kaur of Ferozepur shared the third place.

the awards ceremony saw Ritin Khanna, the general secretary of the Punjab Badminton Association, present the prizes to the triumphant players. Mohinder Singh Grewal, president of the District Badminton Association, Ludhiana, extended his congratulations to the winners and expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee for the triumphant execution of the four-day event.

The closing ceremony also served as a platform to honor outstanding badminton athletes who have brought distinction to the state through their performances in various tournaments. Among those recognized were Dhruv Kapila, Lakshay Sharma, Wazir Singh, Saanvi Nautiyal, Shabana, and Ryan Singla.
