The Brazilian wants to join the blues
Chelsea signs a deal for veteran Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, who is leaving the French giants after eight successful seasons – but failed to win the Champions League in his last game.
Coach Thomas Tuchel remained a huge fan of the player and wanted the 35-year-old center-back to stay in Paris, but PSG director Leonardo reportedly didn’t share his enthusiasm.
According to Sky Sports, Silva has agreed terms with Chelsea in the past 48 hours – and as a free agent, Silva does not cost the Blues a transfer fee.
Silva receives medical care in Madrid before flying to England and is in isolation for a fortnight before joining the Chelsea squad.
Despite his age, Silva has been outstanding for the entire PSG season and has been able to stay past the only season Chelsea reportedly signed him for.
Silva recently wrote on social media: “Today ends a cycle, after eight years with the PSG team, I would like to thank my teammates, the entire technical team and management, the fans, my family, God and friends for all these happy moments. We have experienced in the city of light. “

Chilwell signs for Chelsea
Silva’s arrival follows shortly after Chelsea signed Ben Chilwell from Leicester City for £ 50million.
Chilwell announced on Thursday that they had signed a five-year deal and will replace Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as left-backs.
Chilwell, 23, told Chelsea’s official website: “I’m very excited to join Chelsea at this very exciting time for the club.
“I look forward to being part of this young, dynamic team led by Frank Lampard when we fight for honors next season.
“I can’t wait to get started and hopefully it won’t be long before we play in front of the Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge.”
Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have already registered at Stamford Bridge, while discussions about Kai Havertz continue.
Spores are approaching the star of wolves
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are reportedly in “advanced talks” with Wolves about a move for right-back Matt Doherty.
Doherty, a Republic of Ireland international, played a whopping 50 times for the Wolves last season – seven times.
That’s because he doesn’t always stick to his sidelines. Far from it! Like a central midfielder from box to box, he often storms into the box and ends up coming off crosses and through balls.
Spurs are open to offers for right-back Serge Aurier, with AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco all excited.
After young right-back Kyle Walker-Peters was sold to Southampton, Jose Mourinho was able to solve his defensive problems on the right by bringing in the impressive Doherty – and improving his attacking options in one fell swoop.
