Tottenham press conference live: Jose Mourinho on Erik Lamela, VAR and Davinson Sanchez

It was not a good night for Tottenham in Yorkshire.

Spurs, who saw Chelsea lose to West Ham on Wednesday night and opened the door to close the gap to fourth place in the Premier League, lost 3-1 at Sheffield United, almost ending the Champions League’s weak hopes .

It was a game that was not without controversy.

Spurs dominated possession in the first half, but found themselves back after a nice goal from Sander Berge.

They thought they had compensated through Harry Kane, but the goal was dismissed for a controversial handball call against a fouled Lucas Moura.

Lys Mousset scored 2-0 in the second half after some sad Spurs defenses before Oli McBurnie used the poorer defense to 3-0.

Harry Kane finally scored a legitimate goal, but it was only consolation.

Jose Mourinho speaks to the media here after the collision.
