VAR in the fog at Tottenham by Steven Bergwijn | Football

The Spurs saw Sheffield pass in the rankings and are now ninth with 45 points. Sheffield, where Richairo Zivkovic stayed on the bench the entire game, has two points more due to the victory and is seventh.

Bergwijn started in the base at Tottenham, but was substituted for Erik Lamela in the 56th minute. Then it was 1-0 for Sheffield by the Norwegian Sander Berge. Harry Kane appeared to equalize the Spurs in the first half just after the goal, but the goal was disallowed because of Lucas Moura’s hands. The Brazilian was pushed, making it a debatable VAR decision.

Lys Mousset tapped in the 2-0 and Oliver McBurnie made it 3-0 in the final phase on the instructions of Berge. Kane took his goal in the 90th minute.
