Manchester United manager Solskjaer is expected to make several changes to his team, given the strong turnaround following the FA Cup victory in Norwich.

Pogba, who started on the bench against Norwich, is likely to return to United’s starting XI as they try to secure their first away match in Brighton in the Premier League.

Manchester United’s last victory in Brighton dates back to the First Division in 1982.

Speaking again of United’s track record in Brighton, Solskjaer said: ‘Of course, there is a reason … they are a good soccer team, they play soccer and make it difficult for you.

‘I haven’t been down there alone and the fans obviously count and have an impact on games and football.

‘Getting out of this block period will be fantastic, but at the moment we have to face the situation as it is.

“As an away team, sometimes it helps you, but then again when you are at the bottom, the pressure from the fans can get to you and give you an extra edge.”
