Barça already has a clear strategy to follow to achieve the long-awaited return of Leo Messi to the Camp Nou. SPORT has advanced that next week, Barça executives will meet with LaLiga to explore an agreement to lower the salary limit. The president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, has been specifying that the Blaugrana club will be exceeded by around 200 million euros, but steps are being taken to resolve this issue. Mateu Alemany has been preparing a feasibility plan for some time that includes, above all, a reduction in expenses and the budget that would allow airing this salary limit. Next week’s meeting is key to unraveling this matter and at Barça they see it well focused.
The plan includes salary cuts in some cases and, of course, income from some sales of player assets. In addition, Barça will cut back in other areas of the club until they approach the figure imposed by LaLiga. The reduction could take place in a longer time than this summer, but it would imply meeting a whole series of economic objectives. If LaLiga gives the OK -there are precedents with other clubs-, Barça could be in a position to sign as long as they strictly meet the requirements.
