It would only be a matter of time before CF Montreal defender Alistair Johnston was transferred to Celtic from Glasgow.
The formations would be finalizing the transfer, according to what learned the MLS informant Tom Bogert.

Also according to Bogert, several other European teams were interested in acquiring Johnston’s services.
The 24-year-old Johnston is currently representing Canada at the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
He is currently under contract with the CFM until 2023, with two years of option. He joined the Montreal squad in December 2021.
