HALSTEREN – No response was received to the 100-year-old photo of the month of October with a class of schoolchildren. September’s photo, on the other hand, kept the spirits busy, because even more reactions to the tour group came in.

Mrs. van Elzakker told by email that Jan Mens is on the bottom right. In addition, Jopie van de Bergh. Above right Jan Mens is Betsy de Groot. Then there was a note in my mailbox from Sjel Maas. He had found all but two names:
bottom row: Koos van Wezel, mr. Douglas, Mrs. van de Berg, Louis van de Berg, Jan van de Berg, Jopie Mens-van de Berg, Jan Mens.
Second row: Mrs. de Groot-Maas, mrs. Bogers, Mrs. Douglas-Maas and Mrs. of the Berg-de Groot.
Top row: first two unknown, Mrs. van Wezel, Geert Klaassen and Koos de Groot. A few days later, Riet Somers came to the Hof van Ram to report her findings. From top to bottom and from left to right: nn, nn, nn, Lindert Klaassen, Gommerd Bogers or Koos de Groot, nn, Joke Bogers?, Betsie de Groot wife of Louis van de Berg, Karel van Wezel, nn, nn, Louis van de Berg, nn, Joop vd Berg with husband Jan Maas. Then more comments came in. These may be included in the next photo presentation. Many thanks to all contributors.

Flood
Heemkundekring Halchterth is still looking for old photos. We like to copy them. You do not have to hand over your photo. In particular, we are looking for photos about or before the flood disaster in 1953.
