The 2-0 in the series against Montegranaro earned Svethia Recanati access to the semi-finals as they returned to work to better prepare for Sunday’s match with Montemarciano. With coach Di Chiara we analyzed the success of the Bombonera and took a look at game 1 of the semi-final.

“The one against Montegranaro was a difficult and at the same time stimulating series both to prepare and to play as I considered them one of the fittest and most tactical teams in the entire Serie C. This is why I would like to publicly thank my two assistants Michele Domesi and Luca Tarducci for the work done in my absence in preparation for Race 1 and the entire series. As far as game two is concerned, it was a victory resulting from a convincing performance born from the impression we managed to make from the first possessions. We were very careful in defense on Quinzi and Nessi, who we believed were their strong points, we managed to impose the aggressiveness of our wingers well supported by the work of the big men with whom we won the rebounding battle. This allowed us, from the first minutes, to be much more fluid in attack, managing to run and involve everyone throughout the match. A big round of applause goes to our bench, everyone gave us an adequate contribution and this allowed us to have a decidedly high quality, both in attack and defense, keeping Montegranaro’s comeback attempts at a distance. After a few days of rest we are ready to get back to work trying to prepare as best as possible for the semi-final against Montemarciano. On Sunday we hope to once again have a very warm Palas.”
