NFL: The Los Angeles Rams beat the Rams 24-9

Summary

The Los Angeles Rams were unresponsive to the San Francisco 49ers and especially their defensive unit in a 24-9 loss on Monday.

The formation of Los Angeles was limited to three placements in this duel of the West division of the National.

The 49ers hit hard early in the game with a touchdown from Jeff Wilson on a 32-yard run. The running back finished his night with 74 rushing yards.

Another bang helped the Niners slip away in scoring. In the second quarter, Jimmy Garoppolo spotted Deebo Samuel who made the catch despite tight coverage. The receiver then worked his magic by breaking up a few tackles to finish his run 57 yards out for the touchdown.

Deebo Samuel, simply spectacular!

At the Rams, Matthew Stafford was under pressure throughout the meeting by the defensive front of the 49ers. Slightly behind 17-9 in the fourth quarter, Stafford was the victim of an interception. Talanoa Hufanga shoved the ball back into the end zone to deal a heavy blow to the Rams with less than seven minutes to go.

Stafford didn’t recover from that mistake, and the Rams quarterback finished the night with 32 completions on 48 attempts for 254 yards. Cooper Kupp still grabbed 14 balls for 122 yards in the loss.

Garoppolo finished his game with 239 yards and a touchdown pass. The Niners, Rams, Cardinals and Seahawks are all 2-2 in the division.
