Mexican Recurve Bow Specialist Wins Silver in Mixed Team Event at Pan American Para Archery Championship

The recurve bow specialist won silver in the Mixed Team, along with Víctor Sardina, after losing in the final against Brazil.

Mexicali, Baja California.- Liliana Montiel from Baja California and Víctor Sardina, qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, won the silver medal in the Mixed Team at the Pan American Para Archery Championship, held in San Paulo, Brazil.

The facilities of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee had a long tablecloth with the Pan American Para Archery Championship, where the Mexican duo of Liliana Montiel and Víctor Sardina fell in the final 147-145 with the hosts Andrey de Castro and Karla Gogel.

“It was an honor to share the shooting line with Víctor Sardina, an extraordinary athlete and excellent human being, we managed to connect and do good teamwork,” said the Mexican native, a compound bow specialist.

In the semifinal stage, the Mexican representative beat Chile 148-118, to put themselves in contention for gold and silver.
