At the “Jannella” stadium, the two baseball teams of Grosseto, Bbc and Bsc, face off to raise funds for the construction and opening to the public of a new library room of the Le Clarisse cultural center, the only one in Maremma dedicated to local art.
The appointment with “Grosseto city of baseball – Beat and run for culture “ is for Wednesday 31 August at 9pm. Tickets are available in advance on www.liveticket.it and at the Le Clarisse cultural center and will be on sale at the stadium box office on the evening of the event: admission: 5 euros; supporter admission 10 euros; free admission for under 16s.
The initiative is organized by TagMaremma (https://www.tagmaremma.it), the first webapp to promote the territory, developed by Rama and currently in beta test, which allows users to experience the Maremma from a completely new point of view, through gamification paths.
The library of the Le Clarisse cultural center – museum structure in via Vinzaglio, managed by the Grosseto Cultura Foundation – has in its catalog a heritage of 1,050 titles, to which are added the new donations or acquisitions in recent years. It is currently closed to the public pending new sorting, inventory and cataloging work.
On the first floor of the Poor Clares it exists a large unused room of about 56 square meters: the proceeds from the game will be used to set up this environment, transforming it into a furnished consultation-conservation room accessible to the public, with an independent entrance on Piazza San Francesco. The purchase of 7 bookcases, a table and 6 chairs, the setting up of a wi-fi network and the work of census and inventory of the books contained in the funds not yet cataloged are foreseen.
