After nominations by 100 basketball-related institutions, 30 nominees will be nominated for the China Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
In the second stage, the 500 nomination committees of the “Nomination Committee” of the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame will select 16 people (including 12 male athletes, 9 female athletes and 9 coaches) from the nomination list of 30 people (including 6 male athletes, 5 female athletes and 5 coaches), entered the final stage.
The first stage of nomination work started in mid-July. After being recommended by 100 basketball-related units in the “Nomination Committee”, including members of the Chinese Basketball Association, professional league clubs, sports colleges and departments, etc., as well as independent and impartial verification by Deloitte, the nomination work has been drawn. A complete ending.

In the second stage of the election, the “Selection Committee” composed of 500 basketball people started the selection work. The “Selection Committee” covers many basketball fields such as active athletes, retired athletes, coaches, referees, and media people.
Each nomination committee will recommend 16 people from the nomination list to fill in the nomination form and submit it to Deloitte, and the second phase of the 16-person nomination list will be generated through Deloitte statistics. Nominations will end in late September.
In mid-October, the third phase of the final review began, and the list of 10 admitted members was announced in late October.
