Frédéric comes from Bastogne, but has lived in Tongeren for eight years. There he founded the Badiator Academy badminton club with his wife. As a job, he is a full-time national junior coach (badminton). His goal for this European Championship in Ljubljana was to reach the semi-finals. So for him, this European Championship was more than successful.

On his course, Frédéric won his first round (16th final) against an Austrian who later became the winner in the men’s doubles +35. In the semi-finals he won against the first seed and the reigning world champion in the +35, the Frenchman Nelson Anthony. In the final, Frédéric needed two sets to win against another Frenchman. His first participation in this championship was therefore more than a success .
