Both players saw their fifth card in the last match against Mirandés and will have to serve a penalty

The last game in Lezama left great news in the form of a victory for SD Amorebieta against Mirandés, which has boosted and filled the Zornotzarras with morale in their fight for permanence, a complicated but feasible objective for which they are going to fight while the numbers give them options.

However, it also left a not-so-pleasant counterpart for the blues. And it is that in that duel against those of Joseba Etxeberria, both Markel Lozano and Álvaro Peña saw their fifth yellow card and, therefore, they will have to serve a sanction this next day.

Two significant casualties for Haritz Mujika’s team, who will have to use the bottom of the wardrobe to counteract these absences. It could be said that Markel Lozano has played practically everything this season, either in midfield or in the defensive line.

Peña, meanwhile, has lost some continuity with the arrival of the coach from Pasajes, but he is still one of the key players in this Amorebieta due to his technical quality. His goal gave the victory against Mirandés, and against Las Palmas it could have served to tie a draw if it hadn’t been for the umpteenth contradictory decision of the VAR with the zornotzarras.

As stated in the minutes of the match against the Mirandilla team, Markel and Álvaro saw their respective cautions consecutively. It was ten minutes from the end of the clash, and in both cases for “holding an opponent thereby preventing a promising attack.”

The absence of both players will be a new stumbling block for Amorebieta in their transcendental visit to the Reale Arena, where this Saturday they face each other in a direct duel for eluding Real Sociedad B.

A qualifying emergency derby in which Mujika will probably bet on the recovered Peru Nolaskoain to accompany Oscar Gil and Irazabal in the line of three central defenders. Meanwhile, in midfield, Olaetxea, who in principle seems to have already overcome the contracture that left him out last week, would occupy a place alongside San José and Javi Ros.

On the other hand, the tickets that the San Sebastian club has provided to Amorebieta for this Saturday’s Basque derby at the Reale Arena are already on sale.
