Indianapolis (dpa) – DeMar DeRozan led the Chicago Bulls to a threesome with the final siren to the 108: 106 away win over the Indiana Pacers.

With their sixth success in a row, the Bulls are now in first place in the Eastern Conference in the NBA – thanks to a direct comparison before the Brooklyn Nets, who like the Bulls have a record of 23:10 wins.

The former national basketball coach Chris Fleming remains undefeated as a coach in responsibility. The actual assistant coach of Chicago has taken over for Billy Donovan. The Bulls head coach is currently still in quarantine due to the NBA’s health and safety protocol during the coronavirus pandemic. The Bulls have won all four games under Fleming.

Lakers star with top marks

LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 139: 106 (69:54) home success over the Portland Trail Blazers with another strong performance. The superstar achieved a personal season high of 43 points, which is the seventh time in a row that James reached the mark of at least 30 points.

The German internationals Dennis Schröder (Boston Celtics), Maxi Kleber (Dallas Mavericks) and Isaac Bonga (Toronto Raptors) missed their teams’ games because they are still in quarantine. Isaiah Hartenstein was still absent from the Los Angeles Clippers due to an ankle injury, Daniel Theis was repeatedly absent from the Houston Rockets.

ESPN: NBA reduces quarantine time

According to a media report, the NBA will reduce the quarantine period of vaccinated players who have tested positive for the coronavirus and are symptom-free. Such players will only have to isolate themselves for five days instead of the previous seven, as reported by the US broadcaster ESPN. There was initially no confirmation from the league.

The NBA wanted to achieve that fewer games have to be relocated due to decimated squads, it said in the report. According to ESPN information, as of Friday morning, 260 players had to be quarantined this season, 247 in December alone. The league’s so-called health protocol records players who have either tested positive for the corona virus or have had close contact with such a person.
