As an initial measure, it should be noted that the courts that will receive each match were defined. At the Cordoba venue, the only setting for the matches will be the Angel Sandrn from Instituto, in which five matches per day will be played. For its part, in Buenos Aires it will be played on four courts: the Temple of Rock Works, Hector Etchart with Ferro, Roberto Pando de San Lorenzo and Luis Conde de Boca.
Another of the most outstanding news is that the first match of Super 20 will be next Thursday 23, the day in which San Lorenzo will play against Boca to open the tournament. The setting will be the Pando de Boedo, the house of the Cyclone.
On the other hand, the match schedules are also confirmed. In Buenos Aires, as it is played in various stages, the hours will be in the afternoon from 7pm; While in Cordoba, as all the games are played in the same venue, the matches will run successively from 11am to 9.30pm. The schedule of course is subject to possible modifications, but the first part of the tournament has already been diagrammed with days and times.
Let us remember that the 20 clubs will be divided into four zones, two in the North Conference and two in the South – of five teams each, and will start playing in these first two mentioned venues. In the first group of the South will be San Lorenzo, Ferro, Platense, Gimnasia and Pearol, and in the other Boca, Obras, Unin de Santa Fe, Argentino de Junn and Hispano Americano. In the North, in a group will be Quimsa, Olmpico, Atenas, Instituto and Riachuelo de La Rioja; while the other area will be made up of Regatas, San Martín, Comunicaciones, La Unin de Formosa and Ober TC.
In this first part (from September 23 to 30), the South will play in CABA and the North, in Cordoba, between those of the same conference, although facing each other. There will be five games in total for each institution.
Then they will go on to a next stage in which, in venues yet to be designated and from October 10 to 16, each one will face off against those from the same area. Thus, each team will complete 9 games, and the qualifiers for Final 8 will be defined, to be played in a single venue from October 28 to 30.
The first two of each of the four zones will advance to this stage and the first four will be divided on one side and the second four on the other. There will be a draw to define the quarterfinal duels, with the only exception that they will not be able to face a 1 against a 2 if they were in the same area. All the crosses of these Super 8 playoffs, both the quarterfinals as well as the semifinals and final, will be a single game. The champion will automatically qualify for the South American League.
A few days later, on November 4, the National League will begin, with a different format than the S20 and the last season. The tours and locations of each team will return, as before the pandemic.
