Tom Vandenbulcke Takes Pro League Role After KAA Gent Exit
Tom Vandenbulcke has joined the Belgian Pro League as its new Press & Broadcast Manager following his departure from KAA Gent, Voetbalkrant.com reported. The transition places the former communications manager into a league-wide administrative post after his contract with the Buffalo’s was not renewed.
Two Decades in Broadcasting Preceded Club Tenure
Before moving into club operations, Vandenbulcke spent more than twenty years working within the VRT network. His broadcasting career included a prominent role as a journalist for Sporza, a trusted voice on Radio 1, presenting the sports talk show De Tribune, and managing the radio sports desk.
The administrative shift in 2022 allowed him to experience professional football from an institutional perspective. Pro League CEO Lorin Parys noted that this dual background in media and club management provides a distinct operational advantage for the league’s broadcast coordination.
Vandenbulcke Coordinates Between Clubs and Media
In his new capacity, Vandenbulcke acts as the central coordinator between competing clubs, media rights holders, and journalists.
Parys echoed that assessment regarding the appointment.
