Sixty-one athletes compete in Sardinia FISDIR Indoor Archery Championship

Sixty-one athletes competed in the opening indoor fixture of the FISDIR season at Villacidro last weekend, establishing a record for the number of participants. The event took place at the middle school gymnasium in Villacidro, bringing together competitors with intellectual and relational disabilities for the regional title.

Volo Alto and Arcieri Uras coordinate regional competition

The sports association FISDIR ASD Volo Alto organized the tournament in collaboration with FITARCO Arcieri Uras. The setup transformed the school gymnasium into a competitive shooting line capable of accommodating the growing contingent of archers from across Sardinia. Local and national sports officials attended the weekend meet to observe the proceedings.

Villacidro Mayor Federico Sollai attended the event alongside FISDIR national board member Carmen Mura and FITARCO President Vittorio Polidori. Paolo Poddighe, national coordinator for FISDIR archery, joined regional FISDIR delegate Antonietta Mura and FITARCO Sardinia President Stefano Cau at the venue. Elga Etzi, regional delegate for FISDIR archery, Giuseppina Pischedda, president of ASD Volo Alto, and Roberta Sideri, president of Arcieri Uras, also observed the competition.
