Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams return to the Scotland squad for upcoming UEFA Nations League matches, while Rangers defender James Penrice earns his first international call-up.
Sebastien Pocognoli named a 26-player roster for the fixtures against North Macedonia and Switzerland. McTominay is back after missing the previous camp to undergo minor heart surgery. The Napoli midfielder has started the past seven matches for his club, scoring four goals since returning to action.
James Penrice Earns First Call-Up as Key Players Return
Penrice joins the squad following strong performances on loan at Rangers from AEK Athens. The 27-year-old left-back fills a defensive gap left by the injured Josh Doig.
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Kristi Montgomery keeps his place after being drafted in to replace Kenny McLean in the last squad. Scott McKenna and Kenny McLean miss out due to injury, with the Dinamo Zagreb defender sidelined. Pocognoli trimmed his selection down from the extended pool of 28 players used for his first four matches in charge. He left out players such as Lennon Miller, Colby Donovan, and James Wilson alongside the injured absentees.

Scotland Targets Promotion Points in Group B1
Scotland currently sits third in Group B1 following home defeats to Switzerland and Slovenia during the opening four fixtures under the Belgian coach. The team requires at least four points from the final two fixtures to have a chance at a second-place finish and a spot in the promotion play-offs. They also need Slovenia to drop points against North Macedonia and Switzerland. Switzerland leads the group on maximum points, while Slovenia holds a three-point advantage over Scotland.
Andy Robertson Nears Record Appearance Milestone
Scotland hosts North Macedonia on November 13 with a kick-off time of 7.45pm at Hampden Park before traveling to face Switzerland away on November 16 at 7.45pm. Captain Andy Robertson enters the double-header with 102 caps. If the Tottenham full-back features in both games, he will surpass Sir Kenny Dalglish’s record of 102 appearances to become the country’s most-capped player.
