Local sports officials joined the players on the field. Pablo García, director of the Municipal Sports Institute of Ahome (IMDA), stepped in as the game’s ceremonial batter. Luis Javier Ponce, head of the Ahome softball committee, served as the catcher. Germán Mariscal, president of the league, and Fátima Luna, the season’s queen from the Plan de San Luis team, also participated in the inaugural protocol.
