Kagaku Gijutsu Gakuen High School Baseball Club Hosts Trial Practice Sessions for 3rd Year Junior High Students on November 7 and 21, 2026

Kagaku Gijutsu Gakuen High School — known as Kagiko — will host two open practice sessions for third-year junior high students in November 2026, giving prospective players a chance to experience the soft baseball club’s atmosphere and training firsthand, the school reported on its official site.

The sessions, the fourth and fifth in the club’s recruitment series, are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026, each running from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Japan time (4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. UTC). Beginners are welcome, and parents may attend and observe freely, according to the school.

Two ways to join the sessions

Participants can meet at the school or go directly to the field. Those gathering at the school check in at the main entrance from 1 p.m., ahead of a morning school information session and open campus event; after registration closes, a microbus carries the group to the Ikuta Ground, and after practice the school sends participants to Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line. Those arriving directly meet at the ground at 1:30 p.m.

The venue is Kagaku Gijutsu Gakuen High School’s Ikuta Ground at 3-14-1 Nagasawa, Tama-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. From the south bus stop at Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line, riders take a Kawasaki City bus to the “Ikuta High School Mae” stop and walk about 12 minutes. Parking is limited, so drivers must note their vehicle in the registration email; the school directs cars to the clubhouse lot and prohibits parking at nearby commercial facilities or on the street.

What to bring and how to register

Participants should wear athletic clothing such as a uniform or tracksuit, bring baseball spikes or training shoes, plus drinks, a towel and a change of clothes. Students attending the morning school events should also bring lunch.

Registration closes three days before each session and is by email only, to [email protected], handled by club advisor Hiroshi Ishii. The email must include the desired date, the student’s name, school, baseball experience and position, and a parent’s name and mobile number. Registered participants receive detailed directions by email. Questions go to the school at 03-5494-7711.

Families confirm health before participation

The school asks families to complete a health check at home before the day and to attend only when the student is in full health. First aid is provided for injuries during the activity, but the school recommends participants carry insurance coverage as needed.

Questions prospective families are asking

Yes. The school explicitly welcomes beginners and students who simply want to see what the club is like.

Can parents watch? Yes. Parents of third-year students are invited, and observing or visiting the practice is free.

Three days before the chosen session, so Nov. 4 for the Nov. 7 practice and Nov. 18 for the Nov. 21 practice, by email to the club advisor.

The next confirmed step for interested families is the Nov. 7 session at the Ikuta Ground in Kawasaki, with a second chance on Nov. 21.
