Cardi B has publicly named the son she shares with NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs: Grey. The Grammy-winning rapper, 34, revealed the name in a social media post marking “Grey M.D.’s first birthday,” MyDaily reported, sharing photos of the boy that included a Halloween costume of a doctor’s coat and a baseball cap. Grey is Cardi B’s fourth child and her first with Diggs, the 32-year-old Buffalo Bills receiver.

In the post, Cardi B wrote that although she had known her son for only a year, it felt as though he had been by her side her whole life. She said that during the most uncertain and pressured period of her life, knowing he was inside her gave her strength, and that while carrying and raising him, he gave her a new life. The post, which MyDaily described as posted on Dec. 4 local time and cited to the entertainment outlet Page Six, also said the boy’s smile and laughter light up her life and every space she occupies.

Birth announced in November; gender revealed on Instagram

Cardi B first announced the birth in November 2025 with a social media message saying she had brought a new baby into the world and now had one more reason to become a better person, without initially revealing the child’s identity. She later disclosed through an Instagram Story that she had given birth to a son, according to MyDaily.

Diggs, the boy’s father, also confirmed the birth in a recent interview with People magazine, expressing his joy. He said he is already looking forward to doing push-ups and sit-ups with the child and playing with him.

An on-again, off-again relationship with Diggs

The couple’s relationship has been intermittent. Rumors of their romance first emerged in February 2025, and they have broken up and reconciled several times since, MyDaily reported. Earlier this year they were seen together again, though a conflict between them at a cafe was also reported in the media.

Cardi B married Offset, a member of the hip-hop group Migos, in 2017, and the couple has three children together — one son and two daughters. After Offset’s repeated infidelity, she filed for divorce and the two separated, MyDaily reported. The son with Diggs is her fourth child.
