2026 FIBA Open 3X3 Guizhou Finals Kick Off in Zunyi

The 2026 FIBA Open 3×3 Guizhou Provincial Three-on-Three Basketball Open finals began on the evening of October 31 at the 1964 Culture and Creative Park in Huichuan District, Zunyi, running through November 1 at 20:30 local time.

Sixteen Elite Squads Converge in Zunyi After Six Regional Preliminaries

As an official FIBA-certified three-on-three competition, the tournament reached its provincial total after six regional preliminary stops across Guizhou. Sixteen high-level teams gathered in Zunyi for two days of group matches, semifinals, and the final showdown.

Organizers divided the tournament into three divisions: men's, youth men's, and women's. The eight men's teams split into two round-robin groups. Group A features Longli Zhibahan Xingqiu, Xingzhi Middle School, Changshun Aoxing Sports, and Leishan Sports.

The youth men's division features Zunyi Fifth Middle School, Bozhou, Chunfeng Sports, and Ziyun Youth.

Guizhou Geology Institute and AWM Launch Opening Clash

As the referee's whistle blew, fast-paced transitions defined the half-court battle as perimeter shooters drained pull-up three-pointers and drivers finished tough layups in the paint.

Defensive blocks drew cheers from the sidelines as screens, ball movement, and off-ball cuts kept the score tight until the final buzzer.

National Champions Headline the Women’s Draw

The tournament's focus centers on the return of Guizhou women's basketball's championship core.

Returning to home territory, the duo brings high-level international experience back to the domestic court. Both players noted that familiar surroundings provide added confidence as they aim to translate lessons from international competition into every home match.

International Flair and Grassroots Pathways

In the men’s bracket, foreign players representing Leishan Sports compete alongside host wildcard teams such as Zunyi 23 Street and Zunyi Fengchao, adding an international dimension to the competition.

The FIBA Open 3×3 platform, hosted by FIBA China and supported by the Chinese Basketball Association, uses a tiered promotion structure spanning city tournaments, provincial competitions, and national finals. The annual champion earns a potential pathway to international competition, offering grassroots players a route to national and global stages. The previous season drew over 2,500 teams and 10,000 players across 61 cities nationwide.

Tournament Closing Timeline

Competition continues through the final matches scheduled for November 1 at 20:30 local time at the 1964 Culture and Creative Park.
