Cleveland Cavaliers and SeatGeek Extend Ticketing Partnership in Multi-Year Renewal

SeatGeek and the Cleveland Cavaliers announced a multi-year renewal of their partnership on October 29, 2026, extending the technology platform’s role as the franchise’s Official Ticketing Partner. The agreement covers the team’s broader operational umbrella under Rock Entertainment Group, which includes ticketing for the Cleveland Monsters, the Cleveland Charge, and third-party events hosted at downtown Cleveland’s Rocket Arena.

The renewal locks in a primary ticketing arrangement that connects several properties under Cavaliers Chairman Dan Gilbert’s ROCK Family of Companies. Across the Rock Entertainment Group portfolio, SeatGeek supplies a unified box office platform that handles a full calendar of games, concerts, and other events. The system gives each organization a single, connected view of fan activity designed to streamline operations and ticket sales.

Technology Deployment at Rocket Arena

The extended agreement follows a series of digital rollouts tested inside Rocket Arena. During the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 2026 NBA Playoffs run, the venue piloted an integration titled Game Day Your Way. The feature bundles ticketing, entry, concessions, payments, and fan engagement into one experience.

Venue operations also added Rally Concourse Maps to help attendees navigate the arena layout. According to the team, the digital tools aim to reduce friction from the moment a ticket buyer decides to attend an event until they exit the building.

Leadership Perspectives on the Multi-Year Extension

Jack Groetzinger, CEO and Co-founder of SeatGeek, noted his long-standing personal connection to the franchise in the announcement. I grew up a huge Cavs fan, so getting to work with this team means a lot to me, Groetzinger said. We’ve done a lot of great work with Rock Entertainment Group to make going to games easier and more fun for fans, and extending our partnership means we can keep raising the bar at Rocket Arena for years to come.

Galen Davies, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Rock Entertainment Group and Cleveland Cavaliers, emphasized the operational focus of the renewal. We chase every inch that makes their visit better, from the moment they decide to come to a game or show to the moment they head home. SeatGeek helps us find them. Davies said.

Fan Tools and Marketplace Features

Under the renewed agreement, ticket buyers will continue using the platform’s proprietary search and management features. The marketplace includes Ask SeatGeek, a conversational AI search experience built directly into the SeatGeek marketplace to help users find specific seating options. Buyers can also access Deal Score metrics to evaluate purchase value and view digital seat previews before completing transactions.
