Top seed Allan Deschamps won the 31 Tennis Tour tournament in Blagnac on Wednesday, defeating his opponents without dropping a set, while Inès Gaïdi reached the women’s final before losing to Elena Micheloni in a three-set match.
Allan Deschamps Claims Blagnac Crown in Straight Sets
Allan Deschamps (-2/6), representing Stade Toulousain Tennis Padel, entered the 31 Tennis Tour as the tournament’s top seed. Created in 2021 by the Haute-Garonne committee for second-series players, the competition placed the top-seeded player directly into the last four.
Deschamps advanced past the semifinal with a 6-3, 6-1 victory after navigating a difficult start. In the final, he secured the title despite encountering a challenging first set against an opponent with an unconventional style. “Quant à la finale, j’ai eu un premier set compliqué avec un faux rythme. J’ai bien joué dans le second en imposant mon jeu,” Deschamps explained.
Inès Gaïdi Falls Short Against Elena Micheloni in Three-Set Final
In the women’s draw, 16-year-old Inès Gaïdi (2/6, US Colomiers TC) reached the championship match in Blagnac following a straight-sets semifinal victory over a 3/6 opponent. In the final, Gaïdi faced Elena Micheloni (2/6, Stade Montois) and ultimately lost in three sets, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Gaïdi noted that her opponent successfully disrupted her rhythm after a strong start in the opening set. “Derrière, mon adversaire a su me faire déjouer. J’ai alors commis pas mal de fautes,” Gaïdi noted, adding that she remains satisfied with her overall performance given her recent return to competition.
Recent Injury Recovery Shapes Gaïdi’s Return to Competition
The tournament appearance in Blagnac marked a continuation of competitive play for Gaïdi, who recently returned following a four-month absence due to a left wrist injury. Her comeback began days prior at the Balma League Centre junior tournament, where she exited in the final round of qualifications during a super tie-break.

Meanwhile, Deschamps balanced his tournament schedule with coaching responsibilities at the Federal Training Centre (CFE) located at the Occitanie League site in Balma. Prior to his victory in Blagnac, Deschamps competed in several stages of the Circuit des Raquettes La Dépêche du Midi – BNP Paribas, including a final in L’Isle-Jourdain in early August, a semifinal in Martres-Tolosane, and another semifinal appearance at Stade Toulousain in September.
