“But then suddenly the law of the strongest applied. Anderlecht suddenly put more on the table—five million—and ran off with Ambros,” Wilmots added.

When asked about Standard’s earlier interest, the midfielder remained guarded, noting, “How was it with Standard’s interest? I don’t know if I can say that.”
