Alessia Passoni Claims Ninth Victory, Vanessa Landi Wins Derby in Lombardy Archery Showdown
Alessia Passoni of the Arcieri Compagnia di Monza e della Brianza secured her ninth victory of the season in the interregional archery competition held at Bollate’s Cascina del Sole, winning gold in the senior women’s barebow category with a 72-arrow round.
The Arcieri Compagnia di Monza e della Brianza team also earned silver in the Olympic recurve team event, with senior athletes Mattia Amati, Andrea Ballo, and Massimo Valenti contributing to the podium finish.
In the Olympic recurve individual competition, Vanessa Landi of CS Aeronautica Militare defeated her teammate Tanya Giaccheri to claim her 11th victory of the season, while Giaccheri settled for silver. Landi, the 2025 Italian indoor champion, continues to demonstrate her dominance in the discipline.
Additional medalists from Lombardy clubs included Paolo Nozza of Bosco delle Querce (Seveso) who took silver in the master barebow division, and Daniele Maggioni of the same club who earned bronze in the master Olympic recurve category.
From the Arcieri del Sole club in Solaro, Andrea Beraldo won gold in the compound category, and Massimo Egidio Vopi secured bronze in the barebow division. Simona Biella of Polisp. Bellusco earned silver in the master barebow event, and the master team from Polisportiva Besanese took bronze in the Olympic recurve team competition with Alessandro Morellini, Maino Crippa, and Adelio Riboldi.
Vanessa Landi and Maurizio Nespoli, both Olympic archers representing Italy, continue to train together at the sports center in Voghera, where their partnership has been highlighted in regional media coverage.
The competition at Bollate’s Cascina del Sole facility underscored the depth of talent within Lombardy’s archery community, with multiple clubs contributing to the medal tally across various disciplines and age categories.
