San Marino: New Ambassadors from 6 Nations Accredited

San Marino – Six new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiaries presented theirs today Credential Letters to their Excellencies the Captains Regent, HE Matteo Rossi and HE Lorenzo Bugli, thus formalizing their diplomatic installation in the Republic of San Marino.

The High Representatives – HE Genaro Fausto Lozano Valencia (Mexico), SE Elizabeth McCullough (Ireland), SE Tord Tukun (Norway), SE Tamara Liluashvili (Georgia), SE Thomas Bagger (Germany) and SE Karin Maria Höglund (Sweden) – were presented at the hearing by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Luca Beccari.

In his speech, Beccari underlined the value of the San Marino diplomatic network and the importance of bilateral and multilateral dialogue to promote peace, cooperation and mutual respect, especially in a complex international context marked by conflicts and humanitarian crises. Particular attention was also paid to the path of European integration of San Marinowith reference to the imminent signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

During bilateral meetings, Secretary Beccari discussed with the six Ambassadors the possibilities of strengthening cooperation in the sectors economic, cultural, educational and scientificpromoting contacts between institutions, universities and businesses, and addressing current geopolitical challenges through multilateral tools and diplomatic dialogue.

The day ended with the signing of the Joint Declaration of Intent on Bilateral Cooperation and Consultations between San Marino and the Federal Republic of Germany, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of bilateral relations, followed by a reception hosted by the German Embassy at Palazzo Pubblico, in the presence of the new Ambassadors and institutional guests.
