Overijssel Liberation Festival: Full Program Revealed

The Jostiband is coming to the Overijssel Liberation Festival this year as Ambassador of Freedom. The world’s largest orchestra of people with intellectual disabilities will travel to Zwolle on May 5 to draw attention to something that is essential to them: the freedom to be yourself. Moreover, they are celebrating their 60th anniversary and they are doing so on the Makers stage with a very spectacular show, complete with various guest contributions.
Lovers of alternative sound find their home base on Popeiland with Podium Abboa and Sena Performers Stage. At Podium Abboa, the six-piece band NAFT transforms the stage with their rave spirit into an energetic live spectacle and Jack and the Weatherman make it clear why they have now become a permanent fixture in the international folk-pop landscape.

De Nooiters is an urgent and human project that uses music as a real, connecting force. They give a voice to people who often go unheard: asylum seekers, refugees, the ‘nobodies’. The result is a mesmerizing, stirring mix of Arabic dance floor tracks to opera and alternative rock. On Sena Performers Stage, Badminton and Magnetic Spacemen, among others, provide a good dose of adrenaline.
