Basketball, for example, has four leagues currently disqualified from participating in the National Games and Paranational Games program, according to Mindeporte.
The Ministry of Sports reported today that 16% of the total leagues that are in the program for the National Games and Paranational Games are without sports recognition or inactive in what is called the National Sports System.
According to the report, there are 1,131 sports organizations of this type and while 755 are up to date, 94 have expired and another 94 are inactive.
In the case of Caldas, volleyball, badminton, chess, billiards and shuffleboard are unrecognized. However, looking at the table that Mindeporte sent, billiards, cerebral palsy and rugby are unrecognized, and boating and limited vision are inactive.
In total, there are 54 sports organizations, 40 from the Olympic system, among which are badminton, cycling, table tennis, field tennis and archery, and 14 Paralympic ones.
However, compliance with the legal and statutory requirements for participation in the qualifying competitions, in the numerical and nominal registration processes, and in the development of the competitions, constitutes an unavoidable obligation.
These requirements are related, among others, to sports recognition and legal representation, in accordance with the provisions of the Fundamental Sports Charter of the XXIII National Sports Games and VII Paranational Games Córdoba – Sucre 2027, issued by the Ministry of Sports.
