Ligue 1: beIN Sports Payment Confirmed

beIN Sports has paid its debts to the LFP. The broadcaster would have paid its fourth installment in full (€18 million) and its arrears (€15 million) after its conviction by the courts.

beIN Sports finally paid its bills. Sentenced by the Paris Economic Activities Court on January 27, the Franco-Qatarian channel paid its debts to LFP Media, according to The Team.

Dissatisfied with the broadcast restrictions on his Saturday afternoon poster, beIN had not paid all the sums due (€78.5 million per year) since the start of the season. The broadcaster had systematically withdrawn 4.71 million euros out of the 18 planned for each deadline and even claimed 29 million in compensation.

15 million arrears settled

The court ordered him to pay “€14,130,000 for unpaid balances”, corresponding to the three deadlines of August, October and December 2025, with late payment interest. Either a total of 15 million.

beIN would also have paid its fourth installment in full, i.e. 18 million euros. On the broadcaster’s side, it indicates that it fully complies with the court’s decision, as always, while considering an appeal.

Good news for Ligue 1 clubs, including OM. beIN will no longer broadcast Ligue 1 next season and will be replaced by Ligue 1+, which will broadcast 100% of the matches.
