Ousmane Dieng had a hectic weekend to say the least. In the space of twenty-four hours, the 22-year-old Lot-et-Garonnais winger changed his destination three times before settling down at the Milwaukee Bucks, Thursday, February 5, a few minutes before the closing of the transfer market (trade deadline) in the NBA, reports ESPN.

Arriving in the NBA in 2022 in the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise, the 2.06 meter Villeneuvois, drafted in 11th position, was first sent by OKC to the Charlotte Hornets (against Mason Plumlee), then immediately transferred to Chicago, this Wednesday, February 4. The Bulls had sold Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. in exchange for the French international (1 selection), Collin Sexton and three second-round draft picks.

A whirlwind stint in Illinois, since the former New Zealand Breakers player ultimately won’t stay there: at the buzzer of the “trade deadline”, he was included in a new exchange and joined the Bucks in return for pivot Nick Richards.

NBA champion in 2025 with the Thunder but confined to a secondary role in the Oklahoma City rotation, Ousmane Dieng now has two and a half months to convince the Bucks to keep him.
