A four-member delegation representing Benin China Cultural Center partners concluded a nine-day cultural and sports exchange trip to Liaoning province, according to provincial culture and tourism authorities. The delegation, which included professionals from film production, traditional dance, and badminton promotion, traveled across Shenyang, Chaoyang, Jinzhou, and Benxi to establish bilateral partnerships under the 2026 ministerial-provincial cooperation framework.
Delegation Explores Liaoning Historical Landmarks
During the nine-day itinerary, the Beninese representatives visited prominent historical and geographical landmarks across four Liaoning cities, including the Shenyang Imperial Palace, the former residence of Zhang Xueliang, the Niuheliang Hongshan Culture Site, and Fengguo Temple. At the Niuheliang Hongshan Culture Site, Benin Ganggang Film Co., Ltd. General Manager Balogoun noted that witnessing five millennia of civilizational remnants highlighted shared spiritual cores across ancient societies. The itinerary also featured a geological tour of the Benxi Water Caves to assess regional natural resources.
Delegation Observes Classical Dance and Traditional Crafts in Shenyang
The delegation met with provincial cultural officials in Shenyang, where they observed the Shenyang Performance Arts Group’s classical dance performance titled “Hairpin-Adorned Ladies,” which adapts the Liaoning Provincial Museum’s ancient scroll painting. Representatives subsequently toured the Shenyang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum to inspect Manchu embroidery, ceramic carving, and Sibe archery techniques. Chinese-Beninese badminton promotion ambassador Fano Dosh observed that these traditional crafts demonstrate active generational preservation that could inform artistic practices abroad.
Chinese and Beninese Players Hold Friendship Match
The visitors also convened with the Shenyang Badminton Association for roundtable discussions on grassroots tournament organization, culminating in a mixed doubles friendship match between Chinese and Beninese players.
